The main kitchen in Building 200 underwent significant renovations to enhance the efficiency of meal preparation for patients. Our work included the redesign of the kitchen layout, the integration of both existing and new kitchen equipment, and the replacement of all electrical panels to address code and safety concerns. The project demanded meticulous planning and coordination, particularly with the Northport facility's Chief of Nutrition and Food Service and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), to minimize disruptions. We ensured that all construction phases were approved by the Contracting Officer and executed within normal business hours while the kitchen was closed. Alternative meal preparation methods were arranged to maintain uninterrupted service.
