Diversified completed a comprehensive fire pump replacement project at the USCG Base in Boston, Massachusetts, for the Base Boston Facilities Engineering. Our team successfully executed a performance-based design and build, providing a complete turn-key solution. This involved the design, supply, installation, operation, and testing of a new fire pump system, including a Peerless Size 5AF-10 pump, a replacement motor, and a Hubbel electrical fire pump controller. The project required meticulous coordination, including the disconnection, removal, and disposal of the existing fire pump, motor, and controller, as well as the integration of the new system into the existing sprinkler system's piping, electrical feeds, and alarm systems. Additionally, modifications to concrete housekeeping pads and the mounting of new bases and accessories were completed as specified. The delivery, installation, and successful testing of the new system were achieved within the allocated 45-day period, ensuring enhanced safety and operational efficiency at the facility.
