Role

Diversified Site Services LLC is actively seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join our fast-growing team! The primary responsibility of the Site Superintendent will be to oversee construction projects and supervise construction teams. This role will report to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ minimum experience in construction projects of various sizes.

• OSHA 30 Hour, Current Adult First Aid/CPR, Lead, Silica, Asbestos Training, knowledge of EMR385

• proficient computer skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, Procore, P6. Estimating software/job costing systems: Building Connected and a willingness to learn new software

• ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, shop drawings, specifications, and technical manuals

• sound knowledge of building codes, standard construction rules, regulations, specifications, best practices, and regulations for Federal spaces

• familiarity with quality, health, and safety standards

• ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.

• ability to perform site inspections for the purpose of estimating, managing, safety and QA/QC

• highly organized, detail-oriented, the ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload

• ability to communicate effectively, verbally, written and face to face with Designers, Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, subcontractors and D.S.S. Management team

• attention to mathematical, analytical skills with accuracy

• ability to plan and execute the timely, profitable completion of the project

• in-depth knowledge of construction tools, equipment, materials, and suppliers

• must have a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate company vehicles

• pass mandatory background check & drug screen

• think outside the box and find creative solutions

• must be willing to commute or relocate as needed

• submit project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards

• prepare schedules and reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information

• meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues

• establish effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution

• facilitate change request to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget

• assist in the review and interpretation of proposed designs, engineering drawings and specification for functionality and appropriateness, initiate questions to the engineer

• analyze blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications

• conduct internal punch list before the acceptance or final inspection

• job site security to be maintained at all times

• foster relationships with key vendors, subcontractors, engineers

• collaborate daily with internal team, Project Manager, and partners

• continuously monitor and evaluate project performance for quality, schedule, cost.

• supervise and instruct the construction team and subcontractors

• regularly inspect constructions sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards

• educate site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol

• enforce site safety rules to minimize work related accidents and injuries

• handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols

• maintain an accurate record of construction employee attendance

• evaluate the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed

• recommend changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency
