Diversified has been assigned the renovation project for buildings 2 and 3 at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. These existing two-story structures with basements require modifications to accommodate the Homeless Program and Veteran Transportation Service.

The buildings have lead paint and asbestos pipe insulation. The scope of work includes partial demolition and construction of new walls on the first and second floors, closure of certain existing openings, and creation of two new openings in building 3.

Other tasks involve sheetrock installation for lead encapsulation, replacement of doors and hardware, installation of wheelchair lifts for handicap access, complete renovation of kitchen, break room, and bathroom facilities, patching and repairing wood floors, refinishing hardwood flooring, upgrading lighting and electrical components, installing acoustical ceilings, replacing electrical service panels, integrating a monitored fire alarm system, upgrading HVAC systems, installing gas water heaters, and repairing exterior tree damage.
