Demolition of the CITC
Bay Pines FL
department of Veterans Affairs
complete
After assuming control of the contract, Diversified faced the challenge of an overgrown site at the unfinished CITC building, which needed to be landscaped before demolition and plumbing work could commence. Additionally, daily dewatering operations were necessary at the tie-in locations. Once the water tie-ins were completed, the Diversified team could initiate the demolition of the unfinished CITC structure. However, this task required careful coordination with the VA staff due to its adjacency to the Radiology Oncology Clinic. To ensure uninterrupted patient care at the ROC, off-hours demolition was essential to prevent vibrations from affecting ongoing treatments. We were able to finish the project within six weeks, beating the allowed period of performance by 4.5 months.
